Scite contents

Scite is a research tool designed to help find, analyze, and understand connections in scientific literature effectively. It helps to get a quick insight into a research field.
Scite builds on the research literature, both Open Access and paywalled content.

Scite has two main areas:

  • Smart Citations displays the context of the citations and describes whether the citing article provides supporting or contrasting evidence
  • The Research Assistant lets you ask natural language questions and receive answers compiled from research articles.

How does Smart Citation work?

  • Scite analyzes citations in academic papers and the context in which they appear.
  • Starting from a seed paper, you can explore how and where it's been cited.
  • Shows whether citing papers agree, disagree, or are neutral toward the seed paper.

 Tailored to Your Needs

  • Collaborates with major academic publishers for deeper insight.
  • Goes beyond open access and abstracts.
  • Lets you define journal sets and year ranges for tailored searches.
  • AI assistant builds answers based on user-defined sources and criteria.
