Birthe Larsen in the Danish tv-programme Deadline on automation and tax

Academic Director of the CBS Inequality Platform Birthe Larsen is interviewed by the Danish news programme Deadline about the consequences of automation.

Birthe Larsen says: 'During the last 100 years we have seen lower working hours due to technological development. This will be even more the case with future automation. Also, some wish to work less.  But if the working hours are drasticly reduced it means less tax income for the state and less resources for welfare. With an agening population this balance is already critical.
