CBS researchers in Copenhagen Winter Pride events
During the winter pride Associate professor Stefan Schwarzkopf, Professor Sine Nørholm Just, and Post Doc. Jannick Friis Christensen will be debating if Pride represents an emerging civil religious movement? Pride: Something new in this world? The intersectional panel debate addresses the wider potential of Pride for society.
Pride is a public ritual that promotes the rights of LGBTI+ communities to be free from discrimination, but also generally celebrates the sanctity of the individual. Perhaps, Pride represents an emerging civil religious movement that allows groups, corporate sponsors included, to worship higher values. The panellists discuss if Pride is replacing or accompanying other forms of religion.
The debate will be in English and takes place Thursday, 25 February, 2021 - 18:30 to 19:30
Platform researcher and PhD Fellow Bontu Lucie Guschke will be in the panel for the debate ‘LGBT+ inclusion – what works?’, critically asking about the role and effectiveness of unconscious bias trainings and diversity policies, hosted by the norm-critical consulting bureau NORM.
This debate will also be in English and takes place Monday, 22 February, 2021 - 17:00-18:00
