Partnerships and external engagement

This initative undertakes a wide range of external engagement and partnering activities promoting its work in a diverse range of fora. It is aided in this endeavour by the wealth of expertise offered by its Advisory Board.

 
Partnerships

CBS Public-Private is engaged in several strategic partnerships all with the aim to launch mutual projects as well as increase the focus on common interest.

  • In November 2012 it formulated its first strategic partnership agreement with MindLab. MindLab is a cross-governmental innovation unit which involves citizens and businesses in creating new solutions for society. The primary purpose of the unit is to address public challenges through user driven design experiences using especially project-based methods. MindLab also consist of a more heavy research unit which works as a knowledge-focused foundation for MindLab’s work. The strategic partnership commenced in November 2012 and runs until November 2015 with the possibility of extension. The unit is owned of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Business and Growth, the Ministry of Employment and Odense Municipality.
     
  • In September 2013 it engaged in a strategic partnership with KORA. KORA is the national institute for analysis and research within the field of municipalities and regions and were formed in July 2012. KORA is independent but belong under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Interior. KORA collaborates with both the public and the private and take on very practice based and application-oriented analysis and research useful for municipalities and regions. The aim is quality improvement, greater use of resources and different ways of public governance.
     
  • In September 2013 the Public-Private and the Danish Ministry of the Environment signed a contract on a strategic partnership. The Danish Ministry of the Environment is among other things responsible for administrative and research tasks in the areas of environmental protection and planning. The Ministry consists of three agencies and several independent Environment Centers across the country. At the moment, the ministry undertakes specific work within areas of agriculture and forestry, chemicals and waste, international projects on environment, nature, noise and transport, planning and land use and water topics
     
  • In December 2014 the Public-Private signed a strategic partnership with the Whitlam Institute within the University of Western Sydney. The Whitlam Institute is a dynamic public policy institute that commemorates, and is inspired by the life and work of one of Australia’s most respected Prime Ministers, The Hon. Gough Whitlam AC QC. The partnership is motivated by previous successful collaboration and shared values between the CBS Public-Private Platform and The Whitlam Institute and the goal of developing a broad strategic partnership intended to deepen, expand and reinforce collaboration across a range of areas including research, teaching and outreach/public engagement. The strategic partnership commenced December 2014 and continue until September 2016 with the possibility of extension.
