Tools for the analysis of Corporate Networks in Denmark

Abstract:

This research draws on Anton Grau Larsens research expertise in corporate networks and statistical programming. This project seeks to integrate the Danish Corporate Registers (CVR), with the Danish Elite Network (DEN). This will create a unique dataset with combining the more than 7.000 affiliations, many of which are political or NGO committees in DEN with the official registers with more than 2.000.000 corporate entities. The project will take the form of a software package mostly written in the statistical programming language R and will draw upon state-of-the-art packages such as: Igraph and ggplot2.The project will develop methods for data handling and merging techniques that will handle problems of agent identification. Furthermore the project will create data-structures for longitudinal and geographically defined affiliation networks.
