Creation, Crisis, Critique - Fourth International Deleuze Studies Conference (Deleuze Studies Conference)

Abstract:

The fourth international Deleuze Studies conference is a large international conference, which through an open Call for Papers is expected to draw roughly 300 of the world's leading researchers in fields of societal studies, the humanities, and arts. The theme of the conference, "Creation, Crisis, Critique", springs from the notion that the international financial crisis philosophically speaking can become the anchor for a critique of dominant structures in contemporary societies, but also that this critique should be creative and constructive. The conference will span for three days in the summer of 2011, with adjacent Ph.D. summer school.
