Credit transfer

You can apply for a credit transfer if you wish to be exempted from registration for one or more courses, and you have passed a similar course with equivalent content, scale and level.

You should apply for credit transfer when you want to be exempted from one or more courses based on passed educational elements equivalent to the course(s) in question. Credit transfer depends on an individual assessment based on scale (ECTS), level and course content. In the credit transfer application, you will have to document the courses that are fundamental for the credit transfer process on the previously mentioned basis of valuation together with course descriptions, programme regulations, syllabus lists, etc.

Credit transfer in the Graduate Certificate (HD1)

Are you applying for credit transfer of one or more courses in the Graduate Certificate (HD1), you must use this credit transfer form.

Are you applying for to get credits in Managerial Economics transferred, you must use this form.

You must send your application for credit transfer with documentation for those courses which are fundamental for the credit transfer process together with course descriptions, programme regulations, syllabus lists, etc. by email to: hdmerit@cbs.dk
(Write “application for credit transfer” in the subject line).

When can you apply for credit transfer?
You can apply for credit transfer the whole year, and you can do it both before and after you have started your diploma programme. No pre-approved credit transfer is granted meaning that you only can get credit transfer for courses you already have completed and passed.

Can I get a course reimbursed if my application for credit transfer is approved?
If you have paid for a course and afterwards get a credit transfer, you can get the money reimbursed until October 1 in the Autumn semester and until May 1 in the Spring semester. After these dates it is no longer possible to get a reimbursement.

Are you applying for credit transfer of one or more courses in the Graduate Diploma (HD2), you must use this credit transfer form for the Graduate Diploma (HD2).

Who should I send my application to?
The credit transfer application and relevant documentation should be send to the relevant diploma programme to which you apply for credit transfer.
Example: Are you applying for credit transfer for a course in the Graduate Diploma in Finance (HD2), the application must be send to the Programme Administration of the Graduate Diploma in Finance (HD2).

When can you apply for credit transfer?

What can grant a credit transfer?
You can apply for credit transfer of a course if you evaluate that you have had the course before which in scale, level and content corresponds to a course in your Graduate Diploma programme (HD2).
You cannot apply for credit transfer based on a course from a qualifying exam needed to be enrolled in the Graduate Diploma (HD2) as the academic level will be lower than in the diploma programmes.
