You have received a physical diploma after you graduated from CBS.
Digital diploma
If you need a digital diploma, you must scan your original diploma yourself. CBS does not hold a copy of your diploma and cannot send you one.
CBS does not issue digital diplomas.
Certified copy of your diploma
If you need a certified copy of your diploma, you must appear in person with both the original diploma and a copy.
To arrange an appointment, please send an email to formerstudent@cbs.dk.
Please note that the processing time can be up to 20 working days. If your request is urgent or if you are abroad, you can instead contact a notary at the courts to have your copy certified.
Replacement diploma
If your diploma has been lost or damaged, you can request a replacement by sending an email to diploma@cbs.dk.
Your email must include the following information:
- Your full name (if you have changed your name, include the full name you used during your studies)
- Your date of birth
- The programme you studied and the period of enrolment
- Your current postal address
If you passed your exam 30 years ago or more, your data has been transfered to The Danish National Archives (Rigsarkivet).

You can request a verified grade transcript by sending an email to formerstudent@cbs.dk
Please include the following information in your email:
- Your full name (if you have changed your name, please provide the full name you used during your studies)
- Your date of birth
- The study programme in question and periode of enrolment
- Whether you need the documentation in Danish or in English. Please note that all activities from 2007 and before can only be made in Danish and we cannot provide any translation into English.
Documentation and verification to a third party
If you need to send documentation or verify your degree to a third party, you can read more here:
You can request a verified grade transcript or a certified copy of your diploma, which you can then forward to a third party.
Before contacting CBS, please ask the third party which type of documentation they accept. You can find more information above on how to request a verified grade transcript or a certified copy of your diploma.
Alternatively, the third party can request a verification of your degree and graduation date by sending an email to verification@cbs.dk.
Please note that CBS does not send documentation directly to third parties due to GDPR and security considerations.
If you need a confirmation for a security clearance as part of a job application, please email us the details about what CBS should confirm and who we should send it to.
Write to verification@cbs.dk and include the following in your email:
- Your name
- Name of your study programme at CBS
- The final year of your enrollment
- Name, phone number, email address as well as name of the department for the person we should send the confirmation to
The language of instruction and examination for your degree is stated in section 2.5 of the diploma supplement, which is part of your diploma.

UK Worker Visa (ECCTIS)
We are aware that Visas and Nationality Services (ECCTIS) may request a personal Medium of Instruction Letter as part of the English language proficiency assessment.
CBS does not issue this type of confirmation, as the relevant information is already officially documented in the diploma supplement, which is part of your diploma.
You can see whether your programme was taught as a full-time or part-time programme in section 3.2 of your diploma supplement, which is part of your diploma.
This information is also stated in § 1, section 3 of the programme regulations. You cand find a direct link to the programme regulations further down this page under 'Programme regulations and course descriptions'.
CBS does not issue a confirmation of whether your studies were full-time or part-time, as this is already stated in your official diploma.
CBS does not assess whether you are qualified to teach at upper secondary schools or other educational institutions. It is your employer who determines whether you are qualified to teach a specific course.

Verify a CBS Graduate
If you are an employer or other third party needing to verify a graduate from CBS, please read more below:
You can request confirmation of a graduate’s degree and graduation date by sending an email to verification@cbs.dk.
Please note that we can only confirm whether a person has completed a specific degree at CBS. We cannot disclose any other information about the student or their degree.

Please note that course descriptions and programme regulations cannot be stamped and signed. The material is available on CBS’ official websites and is therefore considered original.
