Every year, the CBS Alumni Society honors an alumnus who has achieved extraordinary results as an entrepreneur, in a career perspective or in some other way. This year, the coveted award went to Steen Holse Andersen, COO of LB Group in Denmark. Steen has used his Integrated Strategy Project and skills from his Executive MBA at Copenhagen Business School in his role at LB Group, helping to turn the company around as well as progress his own career to his current role in the executive management team as COO.

The jury commented of Steen, "He is a brilliant example of someone who in the best possible way has managed to transfer learning and knowledge from the MBA program to his workplace. By successfully implementing key findings from his Integrated Strategy Project into a major change project at his company, he has demonstrated what any MBA student should aspire for; the ability to not only learn and grow within the MBA program, but also the ability to apply newfound skills and knowledge into corporate life and thereby adding significant impact on his sponsoring organisation."

The other nominee was Ingvar Jónsson, CEO and Founder of Profectus in Iceland. Both alumni have applied their MBA skills in their careers and been very successful. You can view a brief video ineterview with both Steen and Ingvar here.
