The Copenhagen MBA ranked in the top five globally in ‘Better World MBA Rankings’

We are again proud to share that the Copenhagen MBA has been recognised in the top five best MBA programme globally in Corporate Knights’ Better World MBA Rankings. The rankings, released on 13 October 2016, is the only ranking in the world currently weighing ESG (environmental, social and governance) metrics in graduate business programmes, and aims to identify which MBAs best equips graduates to change the world for the better.

Copenhagen MBA’s placement in the top 5 is extremely positive as the focus on sustainability in the curriculum places the programme ahead of schools such as Harvard, INSEAD, Oxford and others.

Birthe Larsen, Associate Dean for the Copenhagen MBA says:
“Copenhagen Business School is a pioneer in embedding UN Principles for Responsible Management Education, and the Copenhagen MBA is very much at the forefront of these sustainability efforts.”

Dr. Andreas Rasche, Professor of Business in Society, comments:
“Business as usual is no longer a viable option. As the world around is changing rapidly responsible management is becoming part of mainstream business thinking and students need to be able to understand its power in order to create positive change.”

Compared to traditional MBA rankings, the Better World MBA ranking is focused on identifying MBA programmes that support and prepare better business leaders in positively impacting business issues in order to solve larger social problems.

Poul Hedegaard, MBA Director at Copenhagen Business Schools says:
“Copenhagen MBA is a personal journey designed for transformation and personal growth. The MBA brings understanding to the value chain in a company and prepares students to undertake their role fully in responsibility management.”

Participating in the rankings were the 100 schools from the 2016 Financial Times Global MBA Ranking as well as a select number of schools with a proven track record in business sustainability education. This year, Corporate Knights evaluated 123 programmes in total.

Toby Heaps, CEO of Corporate Knights, comments:
“Business schools have a major role to play in preparing the leaders of the future to solve the people-planet-prosperity equation. We are pleased to see an increasing number of business schools stepping up to the plate on this front and look forward to continued progress.”
