Copenhagen MBA student to blog for Financial Times

Incoming Copenhagen MBA student Sunny Sheng has been selected to join the Financial Times MBA class of 2016 blog team. She will contribute to the Financial Times blog twice a month, sharing her thoughts throughout the MBA journey and writing alongside fellow MBA students representing business schools such as Columbia and Oxford. 

 

“I am excited to take on this challenging task of blogging for a worldwide famous newspaper,” Sunny says, ”It will be very beneficial to write down my ideas and thoughts during the MBA year – I am sure that the experience will broaden my mind and expand my horizons as I will get to read input from other MBA students regularly. The assignment will add a valuable perspective to my MBA year and make my journey a little different.”

 

 

Sunny is moving to Denmark from China for the MBA and is looking forward to her forthcoming move, not least to uncover why Danes regard themselves as the happiest people on earth. Already an ardent recreational cyclist, she is also keen to join the brigade of city cyclists and make the bike her preferred means of transport while trying out life as a Copenhagener. On an academic level, she would like to soak up as much knowledge as possible about sustainable business practices while at CBS, insight she plans to bring home to her native China when the MBA year comes to an end.  

 

“I’ve never travelled outside of Asia before, so I plan to visit Germany, Italy and France before the programme starts. That will be a good way to kickstart my MBA year and collect ideas for blog topics to write about in the year to come. As the MBA year progresses, I will let myself be inspired by the content of the programme and my fellow bloggers and take my cues from those experiences.”

The Financial Times class of 2016 blog team was announced in the worldwide version of the newspaper on 27 July 2015 and is made up of bloggers from, among others, University of Oxford Said Business School, Columbia Business School and University of Edinburgh Business School. Follow it here.
