Paul du Gay delivered keynote presentation at the annual conference in the Norwegian Sociological Association

The Norwegian Sociological Association held it's annual conference in the resort of Geilo from 23-25th January. The theme of the conference was 'Sociology and Bureaucracy' and Academic Director of the Public-Private Platform, Paul du Gay was the keynote speaker.

The Norwegian Sociological Association held it's annual conference in the resort of Geilo from 23-25th January. The theme of the conference was 'Sociology and Bureaucracy' and Academic Director of the Public-Private Platform, Paul du Gay was the keynote speaker. Paul was asked to address the theme of 'Bureaucracy and Identity'. As usual, the conference brought together not only academic sociologists but also those working in business and consultancy and those who have entered other fields, such as politics, government, engineering, social welfare and Trades Unions, for example. Amongst those presenting at the conference were Arvid Hallen, Director of the Norwegian Research Council and Board Member of CBS, and Haldor Byrkjeflot, Professor at the Univeraity of Oslo and member of the Public PrivatePlatform's Advisory Board.
