Get ready for the deadline for quota 2

Will my work experience be taken into account?
You need to have 30 hours of work each week in the same job for a minimum of one month (that is 120 hours) for it to be considered as part of your overall assessment. If you have two jobs and you work ten hours at the pizza place and 20 hours at the local supermarket, unfortunately your total 30 hours cannot be taken into account.

Am I allowed to write a motivational essay?
Some programmes require a motivational essay, some do not. If you are applying for one of the below mentioned bachelor programmes, your motivational essay is a must. It is in fact the most important part of your application in Quota 2 if you apply for one of the listed programmes. For all other bachelor programmes; save your time. CBS does not assess your essay.

  • BA in English and Organisational Communication (the motivational essay must be in Danish)
  • BA in European Business (the motivational essay must be in Danish)
  • BA in Intercultural Market Communication (the motivational essay must be in Danish)
  • BSc in Asian Studies Programme, Chinese (the motivational essay must be in English)
  • BSc in Business Administration and Sociology (the motivational essay must be in English)
  • BSc in Business, Language and Culture (the motivational essay must be in English)
  • BSc in International Business (the motivational essay must be in English)
  • BSc in International Business and Politics (the motivational essay must be in English)
  • BSc in International Shipping and Trade (the motivational essay must be in English)
  • BSc in Business Administration and Project Management (the motivational essay must be in Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian)
  • BSc in Business Administration and Philosophy (the motivational essay must be in Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian)
  • BSc in Business Administration and Organisational Communication (the motivational essay must be in Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian)
  • BSc in Business Administration and Psychology (the motivational essay must be in Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian)

Is my English good enough?
If your English proficiency level is Danish A-level, it is sufficient for our English-taught programmes and our language programmes with English courses. If you are applying for one of our Danish-taught programmes, English at Danish B-level is sufficient, unless there is a specific requirement for English at Danish A-level.

If you do not have a Danish upper secondary exam, see the information about Danish and English qualifying examinations and check the list under 'English Level A'. If your examination or degree is on the list, your English proficiency level will suffice. If not, you have to take a test in English. Only tests taken before 20 June 2016 are acceptable.

What about my math skills?
Mathematics is the only course you can supplement after 5 July. If you choose to do so, please state it in your application on optagelse.dk, so we are informed that you are taking a supplementary course.

When do I need to upload my documentation?
All types of documentation: motivational essay, exam papers, documentation for work, travels, and other degrees/studies must be uploaded with your application on optagelse.dk no later than 15 March, 12 noon.
The deadline for uploading activities completed in 2016, is 5 July 2016, 12 noon. Please note that documentation that is uploaded too late will not be accepted.

Will I receive a confirmation that my application has been uploaded?
CBS cannot confirm receipt of your application or your signature page. If you apply with Nem-ID, you will receive an email from Optagelse.dk, as soon as you have approved your application. This means one email per approved application.

If you do not apply with Nem-ID, you have to approve your application and then print and sign one signature page per programme. If you email your signature pages to bacheloradmission@cbs.dk, you will receive an automated response with confirmation that CBS has received your email.

Please note that it is your responsibility to make sure that your signature pages are attached to the email.

We are looking forward to receiving your application.
