World famous behavioural expert gives the recipe for the best leadership
Many factors come into play in business success, but according to the world famous behavioural scientist and author Dr. Jack Zenger, one factor is especially important: quality of leadership within the organisation. During the lecture “How extraordinary leaders double profits”, permanent columnist for the Harvard Business Review magazine, American Dr. Zenger, will present how leadership and business success are related.

MobilePay is Danske Bank’s answer to the challenge from Google, Amazon and Apple
Banks now have other competitors than each other. Global brands such as Google, Amazon and Apple are airing the idea of offering payment services that can potentially replace a classical core activity for the banks.  However, Danske Bank has a firm grasp of the rapidly developing digital competition.  Hear Tonny Thierry Andersen, Danske bank director, talk about how to transform the classic bank and to develop a banking app, MobilePay, which is used by over two million Danes today.

A new book shares experience of the Japanese market
Japan is a difficult market to enter for many foreign companies. To succeed, you need the perfect team. Lisbeth Clausen, Associate Professor at CBS, has a unique insight into multinational companies in Japan, which she will present at her book launch at CBS. In the new book she reveals the role that diversity and team dynamics play.  There will also be representatives from Microsoft and Ecco, who will talk about what challenges they faced in putting together a team for their Japanese branch.

Four suggestions for the next wave of growth
As a prelude to the Festival of Research, five researchers will present four suggestions on where growth will come from in the future. The five researchers are experts in competition within respectively commercialisation, services, digitisation and Human Capital Analytics, and based on these prerequisites, they will present how to create the next growth wave. The lectures are run in parallel and there will be the option to participate in both English and Danish lectures.

When algorithms replaced loud stockbrokers
The era of shouting, pushing stockbrokers trying to get the best trades is long gone. Today, a large proportion of financial market transactions are handled by computer algorithms. However, what are the consequences for the market? Some critics believe that it increases the risk of crises in the financial markets. Two CBS researchers from the Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy, Christian Borch and Ann-Christina Lange, and a representative from the banking sector, Jonas Hansen from Nordea Markets, present some of the most important aspects of the transition to algorithmic markets. The event is part of Forskningens Døgn (Festival of Research).
