Seminar on Design and Entrepreneurship

Friday, June 7, 2013 - 13:00 to 15:00

During the last decade we have witnessed an incredible growth in some design-oriented companies. IKEA, Samsung and Apple represent companies that have all placed design in the 'front seat' and - somehow - made a focus on design into a core element of their growth strategy. Is there a design-driven entrepreneurship exemplified here? How can you make the aesthetic and the economic 'conversant' in design intensive companies? In this event prof. Robert Austin will bring us into his studies of design and innovation, and we will discuss what the relationship between design and entrepreneurship looks like - is there something like design-entrepreneurship?
