Re-Thinking Business History Seminars: Helen Etchanchu (ESSC) "The Ghost in the Closet: Parentalism in Modern Business Relations"

The paper transfers the concept of “libertarian paternalism” from the state-citizen relation to business-society relations and argues that business as an ascending institution in society enjoys legitimacy and political authority to engage in parental relationships with its stakeholders.
