CAPACITOR – A research project about the capacity of public sector organizations in the green transition
Public sector organizations are key players in the green transition - especially municipalities, national regulatory agencies, and publicly controlled utilities. In many cases, they take the lead in the governance of green transition by introducing green innovations. For example, the municipality of Ærø was decisive for the deployment of the first battery-driven electric ferry in Denmark. However, the green transition is very complex and with a lot of uncertainties. CAPACITOR aims to understand better the various types of organizational capacities public sector organizations are developing (or still lack to develop), and how do they use those capacities in these complex and uncertain governance processes.
The project will be presented by Professor Susana Borrás, CBS.
