Building Partnerships for a Green Transformation - Panel Discussion hosted by VELUX

April 19, CBS Kilen Atrium, 13.30-14.30

The built environment makes up close to 40% of total global CO2 emissions and more than half of total global resource consumption and one-third of total waste streams. The building industry needs to accelerate a transformational change of the sector. Much more is needed to tackle emissions from existing buildings, ensure new buildings are net-zero carbon in operation and limit the consumtion of raw materials. Being a very fragmented sector with many stakeholders taking part in decisions, transformation is challenging.
What will it take for the building sector to deliver on the needed transition? How can front runners in the industry inspire change and get the full sector on board to reach a tipping point?
What partnerships are needed to drive real change?

Panelists:

  • Jamie Rusby, Group Sustainability Director, VELUX
  • Trine Bentzen, Green Building Council
  • Sofie Tind Andersen, Senior Forest Advisor, WWF
  • Caroline Aggestam Pontoppidan, Associate professor, PHD, Copenhagen business School

The debate will be moderated by Katrine Bjerre Eriksen, Managing Director, Synergi
