CBS Business Connect conference on ‘Leading entrepreneurship’

Alumni are one of CBS’ most important points of contact to the business community and our most central group of partners when it comes to engaging external lecturers, guest lecturers, mentors, and members of advisory boards. For that reason, they are also high on our list of invited participants for the first CBS Business Connect panel debates on 6 September.

Alumni from CBS are at the top of the guest list when we invite guests to the CBS Business Connect event ‘Leading entrepreneurship’. The event will bring academic researchers and representatives from the business community, politicians, organizations, and public authorities together to discuss how we best lead entrepreneurship in Denmark.

The purposes of Business Connect is to give the participants new knowledge on different aspects of leading of entrepreneurship, the opportunity to create new contacts and strengthen existing networks, and new perspectives on opportunities and challenges within leading of entrepreneurship.

Yearly conference with alumni on the guest list

CBS Business Connect is only the first in a series of events and takes place on Wednesday, 6 September at CBS on Solbjerg Plads. The programme spans from 16.00 to 19.30 followed by time for networking and socializing.

The event will bring leading academics, members of the business community, politicians, and representatives from organizations and public authorities together to discuss how we best possibly solve the task of leading entrepreneurship in Denmark. A wide range of CBS’ stakeholders have been invited; alumni, external lecturers, and other relevant stakeholders, and we expect to fill our largest lecture hall with participants who during the event will be invited to actively take part in and contribute to the debates.

This year, the academic program will consist of three panel debates with journalist and TV host Charlotte Vestergaard Beder as moderator. The topics are: ‘Do we have entrepreneurship-friendly policies in Denmark?’ (in Danish), in which Danish Minister of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Brian Mikkelsen will participate; ‘How entrepreneurs shape firms and how firms shape entrepreneurs?,’ and ‘Entrepreneur companies – from one-man band to symphony orchestra?’ (in Danish).

When the academic programme is concluded, we will serve a light buffet with plenty of time left over for networking.

CBS events with growing impact

- It is a priority for us at CBS to host events with impact for our many alumni, friends, and business partners. Our ambition is to host events that the business community wishes to participate in because they are relevant and because they give ample opportunity to network with us at CBS and with the other participants, says Director of CBS Business Louise Seest.

- We make an effort, because we are certain that thought-through and well-executed events, such as Alumni Day and CBS Roundtable, contribute to how positively and relevant the quality of CBS’ research and education is perceived by our surroundings. Business Connect is yet another of these initiatives and I hope that alumni who accept our invitation will experience true value from their participation, both professionally and in terms of networking.

We recommend that you register for Business Connect soon as there are a limited number of seats. The seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
