Communicating through storytelling – the power of using stories in organizations

Storytelling pervades organizations’ communication. Managers, employees and consultants use storytelling in their everyday organizational practices to generate understanding, mobilize change, and foster a sense of belonging. The seminar will explore the use of storytelling in organizations by combining research contribution from the field with practical implication for the business community.

Look forward to meet Anna Linda Musacchio Adorisio, Assistant Professor at Department of International Business Communication (IBC), CBS and Anders Kryger, Communication Strategy Manager and Industrial PhD Fellow at MAN Diesel & Turbo and CBS.
The discussion will be moderated by Associate Professor Margrethe Mondahl, Programme Director and Vice Head of Department at IBC, CBS and after the discussion Alex Klinge, Head of Department at IBC, CBS, will provide a brief introduction to the department and its teaching and research.

Meet the speakers:
Anna Linda Musacchio Adorisio is Assistant Professor at IBC, CBS and Honorary Professorial Fellow at Queen Mary University of London. Her research interests revolve around the role of storytelling in organizations. She has conducted research in the banking realm across different countries including Switzerland, USA, UK and Sweden.
Anders Kryger is Communication Strategy Manager and Industrial PhD Fellow at MAN Diesel & Turbo in collaboration with CBS. He is particularly interested in applying the latest knowledge about storytelling techniques to involve employees in developing and implementing strategy in organizations.
