‘So what do we know about globalisation?’

Talk by Professor Phillip Nell, Chaired Professor at WU Vienna and Associate Professor at CBS

During the latest decade, we have seen a continuous trend towards more economic and political integration, a rise of emerging markets, a rapid growth of foreign direct investments and international trade.

Now, the inauguration of Donald Trump, Brexit and more inward looking governments in Europe call this kind of globalisation into question. Key learnings for this alumni meet up are:

  • What do these trends mean?
  • What do we actually know about globalisation?
