External Research Funding Strategy

In 2012 CBS developed an External Research Funding Strategy with the purpose of increasing external research funding income, and at the same time working on a culture change in the direction of a higher collective prioritization of external funding. The strategy has 9 focus areas, which CBS will prioritize over the next years in regard to external research funding:

  • Focusing on strategic research with business partners
  • Targeting private foundations
  • Targeting blockbusters
  • Encouraging initiatives across borders, disciplines, institutions, and sectors
  • Attracting top level research and researchers
  • Supporting Business in Society platforms and World Class Research Environments
  • Supporting departmental initiatives
  • Monitoring and benchmarking
  • Increasing incentives
