World-class Faculty

The triple-accredited CBS Executive MBA faculty comprises a wide-ranging and experienced combination of professors and lecturers from our own talent pool, combined with renowned academics from other leading universities and business schools. As a participant, you will benefit from a varied teaching approach and gain a valuable understanding of both academic concepts and practical implementations.

Renowned and distinguished professors

Our Denmark-based professors are some of the most prominent and distinguished academics in the country, if not the world. Similarly, our international faculty members are chosen not only for their academic expertise, but also for their global experience and insight.

The Executive MBA faculty will take you through our rigorous case study approach and beyond with simulations, debate, experiential learning, discussions with in-field managers, company projects and two overseas study tours. You will encounter new and unexpected situations which will challenge you to adapt and to reinterpret your findings, and we will work together with you to help you get the maximum value from the learning process

Executive MBA Associate Dean - Jesper Rangvid

Jesper Rangvid is the Associate Dean of the Executive MBA school and a Professor of Finance at Copenhagen Business School. He is a ‘real world’ academic with a proven commitment to developing an MBA education that is theoretically sound, pragmatic, applicable and up-to-date.

Jesper gained his Ph.D. in International Finance from CBS in 1999 and his M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen in 1995.

The unifying theme in Jesper’s research is the relationship between the financial markets and the wider economy. More specifically, he looks at (i) asset price predictability using macroeconomic variables, (ii) exchange rate determination and currency crises, (iii) mutual funds, and (iv) household finance, in particular the question of what types of individuals invest in stocks.

Jesper has published the results of his research in international journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, European Economic Review, and Economics Letters. He has received the silver medal from the University of Copenhagen, as well as several other awards for his research and dissemination of his research.

Often consulted as an expert on financial issues in the Danish media, Jesper is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Doctors’ Pension Fund and the SKAGEN AS mutual fund. He has also acted as a consultant for other financial institutions.

Jesper’s unique ability to combine clear theoretical thinking with a pragmatic approach to real world issues has been recognised by his recent appointment as Chairman of the Danish committee established to investigate the causes and implications of the current financial crisis in Europe.
