Mandag, 4 december, 2017 - 16:30 to 18:30
By/ Gigi L. Johnson, EdD, MBA , Founder and Executive Director, UCLA Center for Music Innovation, Faculty, Music Industry Program, UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music – visiting lecturer at MMD, CBS Management Programmes

Taking a point of departure in the music industry as an emerging complex case and bellwether to change, this session aims to describe and discuss some of the logics of disruption and to investigate its possible impacts on organizations in terms of new boundaries, new possibilities, new customer/product/service relations, and new management challenges. Changes have great impact on management. What can be done at the leadership level while bigger changes are pushing forward as digitalization changes the game as well as the rules of the game?

Finally, as digitalization is impacting all industries, government agencies and public services, the observations and lessons from the music industry has implications for all managers of today.
