The Values of Art and Culture

The project: The Values of Arts and Culture headed by Professor (mso) Trine Bille receives research grant of 2,2 million DKK. The purpose of the research project is to understand and assess the public values of arts and culture, using the case of theaters. Theatres have value for the audiences, who are attending performances. But beyond this use-value, theatres and other cultural institutions contributes with values to society at large. These non-market values to society at large are the research object of the project.

The project is financed by Agustinusfonden with 2,236 mio. DKK. The grant is given to Professor (mso) Trine Bille, who will conduct the project together with Assistant Professor Andrea Balin at Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy.
