Welcome to Tina Kretschel

I am happy to announce that Tina Kretschel will join our Department of Marketing as PhD student.

After her BSc studies in Economics and Management at the Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg, Tina Kretschel to Denmark for her MSc in Marketing and Innovation at the Syddansk Universitet in Esbjerg. Not choosing a straight path for her academic education, Tina gathered work experience during her studies within digital marketing from several employers such as Kaplan International (London) and Ocular Marketing (Wellington). Tina has since created a strong portfolio within online marketing with a specialization in search engine optimization and user behavior.

After her Master studies, she became Search Engine Optimization Manager at Momondo in Copenhagen where she was responsible for non-paid traffic optimization to all German-speaking sites of the travel search engine. When Momondo joined the US travel company KAYAK, Tina’s responsibilities increased, and she became Growth Manager for the German-speaking markets for Momondo, KAYAK, the German meta-search engine SWOODOO and its Austrian competitor checkfelix. 

In her last position, Tina further developed her search engine optimization and website optimization skills by becoming SEO Specialist at the financial matchmaking platform Ageras in Copenhagen. She optimized the company’s organic traffic and website architecture across seven markets and gained valuable knowledge within tech SEO.

Originally, Tina is from Germany but she has lived and worked in several countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and the UK. Her international experience has helped her to gain a better understanding of different cultural attitudes and market trends, which is a great asset in the marketing world.
