The Department Welcomes Dr. Johannes Hattula

The Department of Marketing at Copenhagen Business School is very pleased to announce that Dr. Johannes Hattula will join as Associate Professor of Marketing.

Johannes is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Analytics, Marketing & Operations at Imperial College London (UK). He holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland) and a graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim (Germany). He has held visiting positions at the University of British Columbia (Canada), Yale University (USA), and the Max Planck Institute (Germany).

Johannes’ primary areas of research and teaching include managerial decision making, consumer behavior, and growth hacking strategies. His research has been accepted for publication at leading journals in the field, including the Journal of Marketing Research and the International Journal of Research in Marketing. Johannes works closely with marketers to help them understand their decision processes and his research derives insights for companies on how to grow their business by creating sustainable value for their customers. His research results have been recognized as “noteworthy for the managerial relevance and potential to improve marketing” by the Marketing Science Institute and are featured by business publications such as Harvard Business Review and Financial Times.
