Professor Adam Lindgreen has joined as research associate the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science. Founded in 2000, the internationally accredited Institute is based in South Africa’s economic hub: Johannesburg. “The Institute,” explains Professor Lindgreen, “is the top South African and African business school, and it ranks among the top business schools worldwide. For example, the Institute’s MBA program was ranked among the top 100 business schools globally in the Financial Times’ Executive MBA Rankings.” The Institute believes in ensuring that business executives are able to develop a broader view and constructively engage with government, labor, and civil society. In this way, businesses responsibly can generate the growth that a country needs. The Institute is accredited (e.g., AMBA and AACSB) and is a partner in many international networks (e.g., Principles for Responsible Management Education [PRME]). Explains Professor Lindgreen: “Like Copenhagen Business School, the Institute conducts world-class research that informs its other activities, from education and Ph.D. provision, to entrepreneurship and innovation, and to co-operation with businesses and society. It is a great honor to become affiliated with such an esteemed institute, and I shall be looking much forward to collaborating with the Institute and its faculty, as well as to build bridges between Copenhagen Business School and the Institute.”
