Copenhagen MBA ranked one of the best international full-time MBAs in the world by Bloomberg Business Week

The Copenhagen MBA has moved up one a spot and been awarded place 27 in Bloomberg Business Week’s International Full-time MBA Ranking 2016, released on 5 December 2016. The ranking assesses the MBA’s ability to prepare graduates for job success - it is a great credit to the CBS Full-time MBA programme and graduates overall.

“We are very pleased to make these influential rankings again,” says Poul Hedegaard, CBS MBA director. “Alongside our AACSB accreditation, it provides us with yet another quality stamp that helps us to be recognised by prospective students in the American market. Candidates from the US are also able to benefit from approved funding options from Sallie Mae and FAFSA to support their MBA dream.”

The two most influential elements of the ranking are the recruiter’s opinions on how well MBA programmes equip their graduates with relevant skills and feedback from students on how thoroughly they were prepared for the workforce. MBA recruiters were asked how well the skill set of their MBA hires match their needs, whereas the alumni survey asked for feedback from three MBA chapters on their careers, their compensation change over time, and their mid-career job satisfaction.

Bloomberg compiled data from more than 9,000 recent graduates, 15,000 alumni, and 1,000 recruiters across 31 distinct international business school programmes. The 2016 ranking is made up of five parts:  employer - which influences 35% of the total rank -, alumni (30% of total rank), student (15%), job placement rate (10%) and starting salary (10%). Bloomberg Business Week has been compiling MBA rankings since 1988.
