Focus on the best and the worst: Denmark at the top of the world
Denmark will be the world’s best place to do business over the next five years.
Vancouver is the world’s most livable city, Oslo the most expensive. Iraq, Guinea and Myanmar are the riskiest countries for business operations. Greeks puff the most cigarettes. Life expectancy is longest in Andorra, shortest in Swaziland.
These are among the highs and lows to be discovered in the Economist website’s new rankings area. It contains many rankings produced by the Economist Intelligence Unit, their sister company, which uses quantitative indicators and the assessments of its country analysts to rate everything from e-readiness to the level of democracy.
