Denmark is doing fine in the global company environment and will continue to do so because Danish leaders are willing to carry out the necessary adjustments in the globalised world.

These words of praise come from a leading expert within international economy Professor Jonathan Story from the INSEAD academy in Paris. He is among other things employed as a consultant by governments and international companies thanks to his great insight in the importance of globalisation.

- Through the years I have met a good many Danish top leaders and generally I will make no secret of the fact that I am admiring their attitude, says Jonathan Story to Center for Ledelse’s newsletter.

He calls the Danish leaders’ view on life for ‘pessimistic’. But this is only good, he assures.

- They try all the time to avoid the accidents and disasters that may hit their company in the global environment. This gives them stimulation to learning – and it is very positive when a management is motivated towards learning new things. Danish leaders are very adjustment ready. But it is not just the leaders who need to be adjustment ready. Human resource handling and targeted supplementary training of the employees through their entire career are something that we are known for in Denmark, at least according to Jonathan Story.
