What is the Advisory Network?

The primary intention of the Advisory Network is to promote cooperation between industry and educational activities. Additionally, industry members have an opportunity to expand their knowledge by attending lectures by guest speakers at the biannual network meetings. Other goals of the network include:

· Promote education and research in service management

· Create a network for common interests, business and learning purposes among members

· Strengthen learning and activities related to service management

· Promote and secure international quality in service management activities, in general, as well as in Denmark

Two meetings will be arranged annually at CBS which will include activities, lectures, and discussions related to the purpose of the network. In connection to these activities there will be a possibility for job market activities and exhibition activities.

Who may join the network?

· All students in the BSc and MSoc. Sc. Service Management studies can be members.

· All graduates working within service management can be members.

· All service management corporations, organisations and institutions with comprehensive service management activities can be members.

What does a membership cost?

There will be an annual membership fee. From June 2009 to June 2010 the fee is as follows:

· Students: 100 DKK

· Personal members from private industry: 500 DKK

· Corporations and institutions (with access to activities for up to 10 persons): 2.500 DKK

Why should I join?

Member benefits include networking activities among service businesses and organizations, as well as, opportunities to participate in organised educational lectures and activities at Advisory Network Board meetings while interacting with CBS on service management education development. Students have an opportunity to meet representatives from member businesses and organisations.

As a business or organisational member there may be an opportunity to contribute to the MSoc. Sc. program by acting as a guest lecturer if there is a desire. This is reimbursed according to the current CBS rules for guest lecturers.

How do I join?

Send an email to Kristian Hvass (+45 38 15 34 54) at kah.tcm@cbs.dk with your name, organisation, and where the bill should be sent to.
