Inagural lecture by Bjarke Møller

Torsdag, 22 november, 2018 - 15:00 to 17:00

BJARKE MØLLER, ADJUNCT PROFESSOR AND DIRECTOR OF THINK TANK EUROPA TO TALK ABOUT: ‘European metamorphosis - Rethinking identity and sovereignty in the 21st Century’

Abstract:
New nationalism, populism and illiberal movements are threatening the institutions and common rules in Europe, which have been built during several decades. The advantages of the common European project, not least the world’s largest single market, are taken for granted. Identity politics is increasing across the political landscapes of member states, and could change European politics with a flight back to the old nation-states as sovereign safe havens against globalisation.

In his inaugural lecture as adjunct professor at CBS, the director of Think Tank EUROPA, Bjarke Møller, will reflect on how it is possible to rethink identity and sovereignty in Europe in the 21st Century.
