In order to obtain the PhD degree, Jacob Taarup has submitted his thesis entitled: Managing communities – Mining MNEs’ community risk management practice

This PhD takes its outset in the Multinational enterprises (MNE) operating within the Armenian mining industry and how these companies manage their relationship with local communities answering the research question: How do mining MNEs manage community risk in Armenia? The thesis contributions to the MNE risk management literature by conceptualising community risk management both theoretically and by empirically investigating the management practices of mining companies operating in Armenia.
