Management research in the base-of-the-pyramid market
As part of the Driving Competitiveness through Servitization project, we are very happy to have Professor Heiko Gebauer visiting us later this week.
As part of this visit, Heiko Gebauer has agreed to give a research presentation at the Department of Operations Management on Wednesday 23 August from 13-14 in Solbjerg Plads, D4.20 on 'Management research in the base-of-the-pyramid market’.
This is an area of emerging interest among Danish companies and something with potentially interesting avenues of future research.

About Heiko Gebauer:
Heiko Gebauer has been working in the research field for service business development in product-oriented companies and/or servitization for about 20 years. He studies how product companies can develop and implement more service-oriented business models. His experiences include service innovations, service-oriented business models, service strategies in product companies, organizational change toward services, and service business in China. Currently, he looks into service-oriented business models in low-income and emerging markets as well as digital services associated with the industrial internet, industry 4.0 and internet of things. Heiko works in strong collaborations with multinational enterprises and hidden service champions (e.g. ABB, Caterpillar, Carl Zeiss, Fraisa, Georg Fischer, Hilti, Michelin, Testo, and ZF). He holds positions as a group leader for business innovation at the Eawag, as a visiting professor in Linkoping and Karlstad University in Sweden, and as a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
