Doctoral course and workshop on CSR

'Research Frontiers in Corporate Social Responsibility'

Copenhagen Business School Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (cbsCSR) and CBS Doctoral School of Organisation and Management Studies are very pleased to invite PhD students from CBS and other universities in Denmark and abroad to particpate and submit work-in-progress for a Doctoral Course and Workshop in 'Research Frontiers in Corporate Social Responsibility' on Thursday, 16 June 2011.

The Doctoral Course and Workshop will be taught by Associate Professors Steen Vallentin and Kai Hockerts and Assistant Professor Itziar Castello, cbsCSR, in collaboration with Professor R. Edward Freeman, Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, USA.

Professor Freeman is the author of some of the most acknowledged work in the field of CSR and stakeholder theory, including 'Strategic Management: A Stakeholder Approach' (1984).

The Course will take place the day before the conference, 'The 2nd Nordic Symposium on CSR' which will focus on ‘Stakeholder Perspectives and Scandinavian Approaches to CSR’. Participants that register for the PhD course are encouraged to participate in the Symposium as well and can submit long abstracts for presentation. Plans for a special issue with final conference papers are being drafted with a top journal within business management. Please read more about the Symposium.
