Is your front page in need of an overhaul or do you need a photo or an illustration to bring home an important point in your assignment? In that case you may want to check out Colourbox, where you will find millions of photos of objects, animals, people, and places, as well as illustrations and vectors, including backgrounds, icons, and drawings.

Colourbox is used in large corporations and media groups as well as in academia. With our current license, CBS students have access to Colourbox contents for academic purposes only. You can download up to 30 images each month.

GET STARTED

To download images from Colourbox, you need to register. To do so, you need a license key, which you will find on my.cbs.dk. Once you have registered with the license key, you can sign in from www.colourbox.com

REMEMBER THE CREDITS

Don't forget that it is always a good idea to leave a credit whenever you use somebody else's work. Colourbox recommends that you credit the database in your assignments, but not necessarily for each and every image. If you plan to use the images outside of CBS, they must be purchased for commercial use.

HOW TO REFERENCE AN IMAGE

An image reference in the APA style requires the following information:

Photographer, A. A. (copyright year). Title of photograph [Photograph]. Website. https...

If you do not have a year, you can insert (s.a.) instead. It is the abbreviation for the Latin sine anno, which means without year.

Visit our guide on referencing in the APA style
