The Asian Studies Programme (ASP) deals with key concerns of today's business managers, such as global competition, increasing outsourcing of goods and services and the changing framework of global, political and economic governance.
The programme enables students to analyse and understand international business in specific Asian economics, diversity and cross-cultural issues, and it simultaneously teaches practical language skills in Japanese or Chinese. The programme's courses are therefore interdisciplinary, integrated and focused on an overall theme.

The programme has formal exchange agreements with universities in China and Japan, and all students are encouraged to study abroad for one semester.
The most important qualifications possessed by ASP graduates are the ability to:
ASP offers an opportunity to become qualified for business and related careers in global or internationally-oriented companies, in particular in Asia, - in either the private (for-profit and non-profit) and public sector.
Companies hiring ASP graduates know that they will gain employees with a global outlook who are willing to explore new fields. Graduates go on to become sales managers, product advisers, business consultants, area managers, controllers, international liaison officers, and IT managers.
