Teaching Case on Managing Public/Non-Public Partnerships

This morning John Alford, Professor of Public Sector Management at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) and Professor at the Melbourne Business School (MBS), University of Melbourne, has taught a case on managing public/non-public partnerships.

The teaching case is part of an intensive three-days elective on “Leading public-private partnerships” at the MPG program at CBS. The Platform’s Academic Co-director Carsten Greve is the course coordinator behind the elective. During the three-days elective Carsten Greve has been teaching on leading public-private partnerships together with Louise Kjær from Kjaer Advice and Rikke Iben Neess from the Danish Whole Grain Partnership.

Besides today’s teaching case, Professor John Alford will be giving a public lecture on The Challenge of Wicked Problems: Towards a Typology on May 11. In this talk, Professor John will address the issue of “wicked problems” that are confronting public managers and politicians in Denmark and around the world.
