How Extraordinary Leaders Double Profits: Why Excellent Leadership Deserves Your Attention

Guest lecture by Dr Jack Zenger, CEO at Zenger Folkman, USA, organised by the Department of International Business Communication and the Department of Intercultural Communication and Management in collaboration with proacteur.

Torsdag, 9 april, 2015 - 10:00 to 11:30

This public lecture will afford the CBS community the opportunity to engage with one very powerful perspective on leadership. Dr Jack Zenger of Zenger Folkman exemplifies a distinctively American - but also increasingly globalized - approach  to leadership training and development.

The Zenger Folkman organization has provided us with the following introduction to Dr. Zenger and his views on leadership:

"Business success can be attributed to many causes. These range from the industry you are in, a dramatic new technology that you’ve discovered, an unusually well-designed product, a brilliant strategy, the timing of beginning your enterprise, and yes, plain old good luck. We acknowledge that all of these can account for a business’ success.

There is one factor, however, that is consistent and predictable in its impact on the success of every business. That is the quality of leadership inside the organization. This speech addresses the evidence we have for the relationship between leadership and business outcomes, and explores the likely reasons for that occurring. Finally, it describes what organizations can do to develop excellent leaders.

Jack Zenger is a world-renowned behavioral scientist, bestselling author, consultant, and a national columnist for Forbes and Harvard Business Review. With more than five decades of experience in leadership development, he is recognized as a world expert in the field of people development and organizational behavior. His ability to connect with Executives and audiences though compelling research and inspiring stories make him an influential and highly sought-after consultant and speaker."
