The platform is part of strategic CBS unit formalized in light of recent private donations to the Danish Public Schools

In 2013 the A.P Møller Foundation decided to donate one billion DKK to improve the Danish Public School System amongst others in regard to the implementation of new reform initiatives. The donation is to be utilized in the upcoming 4-6 years with two application rounds a year. The donation is aimed at enhancing the qualifications and the continuing education of teachers, pedagogues and school managers as well as strengthening the methods applied in the education system. It’s the first time a so comprehensive donation has been given from a private company to the public school system.

At CBS a strategic unit is formed with the purpose of identifying how research can contribute to the ambitions raised by the A.P. Møller Foundation. The platform takes part in the work both on an administrative and research-oriented level with academic co-director Carsten Greve as part of the unit.
