5th Scandinavian Workshop on E-government

February 4-5, 2008

The Scandinavian countries are at the top of most international rankings, yet there is lack of understanding of the dynamics of e-government, the impacts of e-government, and transfer of knowledge on e-government within the Scandinavian countries and from Scandinavia to other countries. The conference invites submissions within these themes. Also, we have invited guest speakers from industry and academics from Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark to set the scene for the sessions. We invite contributions from a range of disciplines such as public administration, political science, information systems / informatics, economics, sociology, and law. The topics addressed in the contributions can include, but are not limited to, e-participation & e-democracy, national policies on e-government, maturity models, impact assessment, and management of e-government. SWEG is jointly arranged by Örebro University , University of Agder , and Copenhagen Business School . SWEG2008 is jointly arranged with DEMO-net ( http://www.demo-net.org ). The participant fee is 100 Euro covering lunch for two days and one dinner. You will have to register you participation at the website no later than January 15. If you cancel your participation later than February 1, you will still have to pay the 100 Euro fee. You will pay the registration fee in cash upon arrival.
