Undervisning

LEFIC is not directly involved in educational activities but serves as a resource base for a variety of educational programs on different levels at CBS, including the

 program.

PhD student activities include informal exchanges with various universities. In early 2005, two PhD students from the University of Rome, Tor Vergata, Sabrina Auci and Elena D’Agosto, visited CBS for two months to interact with CBS faculty and work on their dissertation Does the Auditing Index Influence Firm Value? A comparison between the US and four EU countries. Clas Wihlborg served as their local advisor.

Jens Forssbaeck from Lund, Sweden, has been accepted for a LEFIC stipend to work on his PhD thesis Mandatory Subordinated Debt and Market Discipline in Banking as an external PhD student while working for the Swedish Network for Economic Research on European Integration.

LEFIC also has a program for Doctoral Fellows in place. Doctoral students in Denmark and abroad who are linked to LEFIC projects or LEFIC’s research areas are invited to participate in LEFIC events and special workshops. They are also invited to cooperate with LEFIC members. Two PhD students in Göteborg, Sweden, are participants in LEFIC projects. Maria Risberg is associated wth the project on Accounting Standards and Corporate Governance and Klas Buttwill is associated with a project on Bankruptcy and Restructuing: An International Perspective.
