Instituttets faglige profil
Instituttets styrkeområder er navnlig IT-ret, kontraktret, konkurrence- og markedsret, udbudsret med særlig fokus på EU’s udbudsregler, arbejdsret, skatteret, immaterialret, international handelsret samt medieret. Hertil kommer, at en række forskere særlig dyrker samspillet mellem jura og økonomi.
EU-rettens påvirkning af det danske retssystem er gennemgående et centralt forskningsområde i relation til ovennævnte styrkeområder. Den EU-retlige påvirkning af det danske retssystem er stadigt mere markant og påkalder sig derfor særlig opmærksomhed. Instituttet er blandt de førende i EU-retlig forskning i Norden, og denne position understøttes ved international publicering, internationale konferencer og netværkssamarbejde.
Forskningsstrategi
Det er instituttets målsætning at fastholde og videreudvikle forskningen på højt niveau gennem publicering af forskningsarbejder, der er blandt de bedste nationalt og internationalt. Der ydes en særlig indsats med henblik på at øge kvantiteten og kvaliteten af de engelsksprogede publikationer
Endvidere ser Juridisk Institut det som sin opgave at sikre sammenhæng mellem forskning, undervisning og anden formidling, herunder at al juridisk undervisning på CBS er forskningsbaseret.

Conference: Business Obligations Towards Disabled Persons under EU and International Anti-Discrimination Law
The Department of Law at Copenhagen Business School and the Disabled People's Organisations Denmark have invited leading experts in EU and international disability discrimination law to present their research on the concepts of disability, the obligation of non-discrimination, the employer's duty to adapt working conditions to the needs of persons with disabilities, and likely future developments in business obligations towards disabled persons.
The Role of Courts in Developing a European Social Model - Theoretical and Methodological Perspectives
This book brings together essays by leading legal scholars from a number of European countries. The essays concern trends in the development, and the theoretical and methodological implications thereof. All Essays focus on the role of the courts at both national- and supranational level. They are based on papers presented at a research conference held at the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark on 18 September 2009. The book contains ten contributions altogether, each of which addresses different dimensions of the general theme.
