Research funding. Jette is a member of the steering committee of a large scale research project named CSRIMPACT, which from 2010-2013 will examine the impact of corporate CSR initiatives. 17 research organizations, think tanks and consultancies will participate in the project, which has been awarded EUR 3.2 million from the EU Commission's FP7 Program for Research.

Moller-Maersk (CEO Office), director for four years of the think tank The Copenhagen Centre for Corporate Responsibility, a senior researcher at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels and a consultant for PwC.

Nominations and affiliations. Since 2009 Jette has been a member of a High Level Group that advices the EU Commission on sustainable production and consumption, and she has been a member of the Danish Council for Sustainable Business Development (background group). Jette has been affiliated with Harvard University, the London School of Economics and the Max Planck Institute in Cologne. She was a visiting scholar at MIT in the summer 2009.

Current research. Jette is currently working on four research projects titled:

1) The Organization of Corporate Control through CSR in Large Firms: From Do-Gooding Sideshow to Mainstream? This project focuses on how companies relate their CSR initiatives to wider corporate functions such as support functions and main business functions. To what extent are CSR initiatives embedded into strategic decision making? In November 2009 an exploratory workshop funded by the Carlsberg Foundation will also address this question.

2) The Universal Welfare State as a Career Stopper: Why Liberal Market Economies Offer Better Private Sector Career Prospects for High-Skilled Women? This project studies why women move further up the corporate ladder in the private sector in countries that are less willing to subsidize education and child support compared to Scandinavian welfare states.

3) Scenes from a Mall: How Does the Effectiveness of Retail Training Models Differ in Postindustrial UK and Denmark? (with Cathie Jo Martin, Boston University). This project examines why low-skill retail workers in Scandinavia seem to obtain fewer skills compared to workers in the UK.

4) Mainstreaming of Responsible Investment: Disentangling Social, Environmental and Governance factors (with Thomas Poulsen, Copenhagen Business School). This research project examines how the mainstream investment community seems to be adopting new strategies from the responsible investor community in the aftermath of corporate scandals and the financial crisis.

Teaching: CSR strategy, EU regulation, globalization and business strategy, training, board diversity
