Professor and Director of CBS' Center for CSR is one of the main contributors to a new book, co-edited with Professor Lilie Chouliaraki from the Department of Intercultural Communication and Management, also from CBS.
The book is entitled "Media, Organizations and Identity" and is published by Palgrave Macmillan in London. The book contains contributions from renowned researchers such as Barbara Czarniawska, Anne Vestergaard, Joep Cornelissen, Annemette Kjærgaard and Esben Karmark, among others.
The book fills a significant gap in the current understanding of the relationship between media and organizations, by looking at three dimensions of their interplay: (1) how the media industry changes through the use of new technologies (Media as Business), (2) how organizational identity is re-shaped by the media (Media in business) and (3) how business logic penetrates broader socio-cultural identities through press, television and new technologies (Business in the media).
More infornmation can be found at Palgrave's website or by contacting Mette Morsing at mm.ikl@cbs.dk.
