Visiting Professors at Department of Business and politics

Professor John L. Campbell, Dartmouth College is back as visiting professor at DBP from the 23rd of March to the 30th of May 2017.
John Campbell's research interests span economic and political sociology, comparative political economy, and institutional theory. He is currently writing a new book, The Paradox of Vulnerability: Small Nation-States and the Financial Crisis (Princeton University Press, forthcoming), which is about how small countries responded to the 2008 financial crisis. Full presentation here.

Professor Herman Mark Schwartz, University of Virginia will be at DBP as Otto Mønsted visiting professor from the 1st of May to 30th of June 2017. 
Herman Schwartz is presented at the web as: “ a geographically oriented economic historian who finds it congenial to work in a politics department because he studies the constitution of and interaction of state and market power.  He has worked on foreign debt financed, agricultural export led economic development in the 19th century; the development of the global economy since 1500; marketization of the welfare state in the 1980s and 1990s; and the global causes and consequences of the American housing bubble.  He is currently working on the political economy of the knowledge economy”. Full presentation here.

Professor Christian De Cock, University of Essex will be visiting professor invited by the AlterEcos project from the 27th of March to the 26th of September 2017.
Christian De Cock’s research interests is broadly aligned with Critical Management Studies (CMS): a type of inquiry into management practices that seeks to understand  the social and historical conditions of contemporary organization. Full presentation here.
