Denmark, Europe and the US - open reflections

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Lidegaard (MP) visits CBS

Tirsdag, 24 januar, 2017 - 15:00 to 16:30

Martin Lidegaard

Global politics are changing at a remarkable speed. The Trump victory, Brexit, and the escalation of violence in the Middle East have challenged international cooperation; populist, nationalist and authoritarian politicians are gaining ground.

How can we avoid further economic nationalism in the future? How can we ensure international cooperation? What are the challenges to the EU-US relationship? What are the prospects of European integration and cooperation after Brexit, the financial and refugee crises?

These issues and others will be raised by Martin Lidegaard in his presentation, followed by a discussion with Associate professor Edward Ashbee, Department of Business and Politics and Direktør Bjarke Møller, Tænketanken EUROPA.

Moderator:

Head of Department Caroline de la Porte.

Time: Tuesday, 24 January 2017, 3 – 4.30 pm
Venue: Auditoriet SPs14, Solbjerg Plads 3
