Two experienced top executives have been appointed to join CBS's Board when Eva Berneke and Peter Schütze leave the Board on 31 January 2016 after eight years at CBS.  Michael Rasmussen is Group President of Nykredit and Mette Vestergaard brings experience from top jobs in i.a. Novozymes and Mannaz. In March 2015 the Board began the process of finding two new members for the Board and encouraged employees and students to nominate relevant candidates. The Board's recommendation committee received just over 40 nominations and chose to recommend 12 candidates to the Board's appointment committee.

Peter Schütze, Chairman of the Board, states in connection with the appointment:
”The Board would like to thank everyone who nominated candidates for the process. We received a lot of nominations, which was a great help in our work, because we had a complex equation to solve in terms of competences, experience and gender which had to match the other appointed members of the Board. Luckily we can once again see that there is a great interest in becoming part of CBS's Board and we can therefore welcome two strong profiles as new members of CBS's Board."

More on the two strong profiles:
Mette Vestergaard's career began with a position as Change Management specialist at Accenture and since lead her to Novozymes, where she started in sales and marketing and ended as Vice President, People & Organisation, and member of the Executive Management. In 2006 Mette was recruited for the position as CEO of Mannaz A/S (then DIEU), where she - until her recent departure - headed a strategic transformation which has made Mannaz a global business, internationally recognised for manager and competence development. Alongside her primary business career Mette participates in a number of boards and commissions, which provides her with insight into both Denmark's growth challenges and the challenges in the education and research sector.

Michael Rasmussen is Group President of Nykredit with a long career in the banking sector, which began in Unibank and later lead to Nordea before he accepted the top job as Group President of Nykredit in 2013. Michael has also chaired The Danish Bankers Association (2011-2013). Michael has solid board experience from various board memberships in the financial sector, including his current position as Chairman of both the Association of Danish Mortgage Banks and the IFU (Investment Fund for Developing Countries).

With the appointment of the two new members to the Board, a large reshuffle has fallen into place. This spring the Board appointed Karsten Dybvad to replace Peter Schütze as new Chairman of the Board when Peter leaves the Board on 31 January 2016 after eight years at CBS.

About CBS's Board:
The CBS Board of Directors consists of six external members, three elected staff members and two elected student representatives. The external members are appointed on the basis of their competences. Recommendation and appointment of external board members are made by the Board's recommendation committee and appointment committee, respectively. Both committees include non-members of the Board.
