Good news for students and staff at Copenhagen Business School! President Per Holten-Andersen has just received a letter from the accreditation institution Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) stating that CBS' accreditation has been renewed for five years for the second time.

That means that CBS' study programmes have received a seal of approval. Only 5% of the 15,500 business schools in the world have been subject to this assessment, for which reason Per Holten-Andersen is particularly appreciative of this accreditation.

"The AACSB accreditation is an international acknowledgement of CBS as a high-quality business university that is relevant to Danish and international society. It substantiates the strength of CBS' programmes - whether they are Danish or one of our many international students”, says Per Holten-Andersen.

Three unique characteristics
The AACSB assessment committee emphasises three unique initiatives characterising CBS:

  • CBS’ incubator environment and structural approach for stimulating entrepreneurship, including the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE).
  • The five research platforms, the BiS platforms, are also praised for connecting CBS' research to education and the public and private sector.
  • The different study boards across CBS are acknowledged for being an "impressive way of securing student engagement as well as practitioner involvement to sustain curriculum innovation".

CBS is among the 1% of Triple Crown-accredited business schools
With this AACSB accreditation, CBS is once again the owner of a so-called Triple Crown accreditation, which is held only by 1% of the business schools of the world. The Triple Crown covers accreditations from the European Foundation for Management Development (EQUIS), the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the AACSB, respectively.
